A commercial space is about much more than design —
it needs to support people, daily activity, and movement throughout the space.
The planning directly affects the customer experience, the way the space functions day to day —
and how your business is ultimately perceived.
Many clients come to me with questions such as:
How do you design a space that feels inviting — while also functioning efficiently on a daily basis?
How do you connect aesthetics with functionality and operational efficiency?
How do you create a space with a clear identity — not just a beautiful appearance?
And how do you make sure all aspects of the project work together seamlessly?
How do you stay within budget?
Without precise planning,
a commercial space may look good — but fail to function properly.
I lead an interior planning and design process that connects user experience, operational functionality, and the identity of the space —
resulting in a space that feels precise, clear, and truly works.
In a commercial space, every decision has an impact — on how people enter, move through, use, and experience the space.
I lead an interior planning and design process that connects every aspect of the space —
so it not only looks good, but also functions precisely in everyday use:
Throughout the entire process, I work closely with the relevant professionals and project partners —
making sure the design is implemented accurately on site.
For businesses preparing to launch or upgrade a space —
and understand that thoughtful planning is an essential part of the project’s success.
The space functions in a clear and precise way:
movement feels natural, daily use is comfortable — and the experience of both customers and staff comes together seamlessly.
The result is a space with a strong presence and clear identity —
while also functioning properly and efficiently over time.
We worked together with Yuri on the design of “Shukriya” — a space for cooking and baking workshops, as well as small private events.
Even though we came into the project with a limited budget and a very tight timeline, Yuri gave us exceptional attention and support. He was incredibly professional, attentive, and thoughtful throughout the entire process.
Together, we went through a fascinating journey of understanding the concept, the space, and the design language that truly suited both us and the place — without compromising.
Without a doubt, he was the best professional we could have asked for on such a complex and challenging project.
“We invited Yuri to lead the interior design and styling of the Pisgat Ze’ev Country Club as part of a broader project that included branding, signage, and interior design, which we managed as a studio (Groteska).
Yuri took on the challenge wholeheartedly, showing great initiative and offering many thoughtful ideas while staying mindful of both the budget and timeline. His work was thorough and creative, yet also highly practical and efficient.
As part of the process, Yuri created 3D visualizations, met with numerous suppliers to select the most suitable furniture and professionals for the project, and accompanied the execution and production stages through to completion.
We would absolutely be happy to work with him again on future commercial projects through our studio.”
Yuri designed the café space for our patisserie inside the newly renovated Jerusalem Pool complex, which is set to open in the coming days.
The design approach Yuri led was both thoughtful and challenging — creating a connection between the renewed identity of the swimming pool complex and the design language and functional needs of our patisserie.
Yuri approached the project with great care and precision, finding the exact balance between all the different elements. He thoughtfully considered every detail — from the right materials and color palette, to the practical day-to-day workflow of the space, counter heights and customer interaction, as well as the seamless integration of machines and electrical equipment.
Everything was developed step by step, with thoroughness and responsibility, under close and meticulous supervision.
Above all, working with Yuri was a positive and enjoyable experience throughout the entire process, with open communication, mutual listening, and a genuine sense of collaboration.
We are extremely happy with the beautiful and innovative result, and excited to begin working in the new space.
Highly recommended.
